In the history of Vans nomenclature it follows that the Vans #95 was released back in 1975. Designed by Z-Boys Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta, the shoe became an instant sensation for skateboarders everywhere due to its non-slip bottom, padded color and unique color combinations. Over time this iteration of the Van’s low-top would become known as the “Era,” which led to the “Era 59,” a slightly updated version with bolder colors, patterns, special touches of leather for style and comfort, and a slightly shorter midsole for a lower-to-the-ground feel.
In this iteration, Vault by Vans has redone the iconic ERA silhouette and dressed it up with sunny, summer scenery that is perfectly prepped for their special Surf Kit. Joining forces with VSSL, an optional First Aid Kit with matching graphics is also available.
